Rock kangaroos are so named due to their preferred habitat – rocky terrain, including cliffs, gorges, and escarpments. They have adapted well to this environment, characterized by rugged and arid landscapes, as their body structure, behavior, and diet have developed to suit its challenges.
Physically, rock kangaroos possess a sturdy build with strong hind limbs, which enable them to traverse rocky surfaces with ease and agility.
