The bully tree typically grows in dense forests and can reach heights of up to 100 feet. The resin, or gum, is a natural exudate that is secreted by the tree when its bark is damaged or wounded. It is usually collected by making incisions in the tree trunk, allowing the gum to slowly ooze out.
Bully tree gum is a sticky, thick substance with a dark brown to reddish-brown color. It has a distinctive aromatic scent and a taste that can range from slightly bitter to sweet. It is highly valued for its medicinal properties and has been traditionally used by indigenous communities as a remedy for various ailments, including dental issues, respiratory problems, and skin conditions.
