"Basad" is an uncommon word that may be spelled in a variety of ways, such as "bazzad" or "bazzed". However, the most conventional spelling is with a single "z". When pronounced, "basad" sounds like "buh-zad", with the stressed syllable being the first. The vowel sound in the first syllable is a short "uh" sound, and the second syllable features a "z" sound followed by a short "ad" sound.
