The life cycle of a woodworm begins as a tiny egg, which is laid in cracks and crevices on the surface of the wood. The adult woodworm beetle is approximately 3-4mm long and has a brown, cylindrical body with characteristic long antennae.
Woodworm infestations can cause significant damage and compromise the integrity of wooden structures and furniture items. Signs of an infestation include small, round exit holes in the wood's surface, along with the presence of fine, powdery frass, or wood dust, which is expelled by the larvae.
