The International Association of Public Transport, commonly known as UITP, is an international organization that represents and advocates for the interests of the public transport sector worldwide. UITP stands for Union Internationale des Transports Publics in French, which translates to International Union of Public Transport in English. It was founded in 1885 and has since grown to become the leading global network for public transport authorities and operators, as well as the industry's supply and service companies.
