Stanley Frank Musial, commonly known as Stan Musial, was an American professional baseball player who was born on November 21, 1920, in Donora, Pennsylvania, and passed away on January 19, 2013. He was a highly regarded outfielder and first baseman who played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1941 to 1944 and then from 1946 to 1963.
Musial is widely considered one of the greatest players in MLB history, known for his exceptional hitting skills and consistent performance throughout his career. He achieved a lifetime batting average of .331, accumulating 3,630 hits, including 475 home runs, and 1,951 runs batted in (RBIs). He was a seven-time National League (NL) batting champion, won three NL MVP (Most Valuable Player) Awards, and helped lead the Cardinals to three World Series championships in 1942, 1944, and 1946.
