Sea lamprey is a noun that refers to a parasitic, jawless fish belonging to the family Petromyzontidae, widely found in coastal waters of the North Atlantic Ocean and North Pacific Ocean. It is characterized by a long, cylindrical body with a slimy skin and a cartilaginous skeleton.
