There is actually no word in the English language that is spelled "pyxol". However, if we were to use IPA phonetic transcription to represent how such a word might be spelled, we could write it as /ˈpaɪksəl/. Using this system, we can see that "pyxol" might contain the sound /p/, for example, as well as the vowel sequence /aɪ/ and the consonant cluster /ks/. While not a standard English word, "pyxol" provides an opportunity to practice using IPA transcription.
