PACBELL, also known as Pacific Bell, is a telecommunications company that operated in the United States. Originally established in 1906 as Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company, it later became a subsidiary of AT&T following the divestiture of the Bell System in 1984. The company primarily served customers in the state of California, offering a range of telephone services including local and long-distance calling, residential and business lines, as well as internet services.
PACBELL played a significant role in the development of telecommunications infrastructure in California.
