Orbito Frontal Epilepsy (OFE) is a rare form of epilepsy characterized by seizures originating in the orbitofrontal cortex region of the brain. The orbitofrontal cortex is located in the frontal lobes, just behind the eyes, and plays a vital role in regulating emotions, behavior, decision-making, and social interactions.
Individuals with OFE may experience a variety of seizure types, including complex partial seizures, also known as psychomotor seizures, which can cause a range of symptoms such as altered consciousness, repetitive movements, emotional changes, or strange sensations.
