A nuclear power station, also known as a nuclear power plant or nuclear reactor, is a complex facility designed to generate electrical energy through the process of nuclear fission. It uses the nuclear energy stored in uranium or plutonium atoms to produce heat, which in turn generates steam to drive turbines connected to generators that produce electricity.
