The most prominent and influential figure associated with the Nation of Islam is Malcolm X, who joined the movement in the 1950s and became one of its powerful orators and spokespersons. However, later in his life, Malcolm X distanced himself from the Nation of Islam and rejected its teachings.
The Nation of Islam continues to exist today, albeit with significantly reduced influence.
