MDMK (Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) is a regional political party in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Founded in 1994 by Vaiko (V.Gopalsamy), a political leader and former member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), the MDMK emerged as a breakaway party from its parent organization. The party's primary objective is the advancement and preservation of the Dravidian culture and language.
