This virus is primarily transmitted through the bite of infected mosquitoes, particularly species belonging to the Culex genus, which act as the main reservoir for the virus. It is considered to be an arbovirus, meaning it is transmitted by arthropods.
Kyzylagach virus has been shown to cause febrile illness in humans, often with symptoms resembling those of common viral infections such as fever, headache, muscle and joint pain, and fatigue. However, severe cases may occur, leading to complications such as encephalitis or meningitis.
