Frederick Carl Frieseke (1874-1939) was an American Impressionist painter known for his vibrant and light-filled compositions. Born in Owosso, Michigan, Frieseke trained at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago before moving to France in 1898 to study at the Académie Julian in Paris.
