The Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) is an intergovernmental organization established to promote and ensure the observance of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). CTBTO is responsible for the development and maintenance of the International Monitoring System (IMS) to monitor global adherence to the treaty's provisions.
