Etymology of CONCUBINACY
The word "concubinacy" comes from the Latin word "concubinatus", which consists of two components: "con" meaning "with" or "together" and "cubinus" meaning "bed". Concubinatus referred to the state or condition of being a concubine, which describes a woman who cohabitates or has a sexual relationship with a man without being his wife.
