Collin C. Peterson is an American politician who served as the U.S. Representative for Minnesota's 7th congressional district from 1991 until 2021. Born on June 29, 1944, in Fargo, North Dakota, Peterson is a member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL). He is nationally recognized for his extensive experience in agricultural policy and for being a moderate Democrat.
