Chilean Rimu, scientifically known as Podocarpus nubigenus var. nubigenus, is a species of evergreen coniferous tree belonging to the Podocarpaceae family. Native to the southern regions of Chile and Argentina, this tree is commonly found in the temperate rainforests of the Andes Mountains.
Chilean Rimu is characterized by its tall, straight trunk that can reach heights of up to 60 meters (197 feet) and a diameter of 1.5 meters (4.9 feet). It has a dense, pyramid-shaped canopy comprised of dark green, needle-like leaves that are sharp-pointed and leathery.
