Bruce Vento was an American politician who served as the U.S. Representative for Minnesota's 4th congressional district from 1977 to 2000. Born on October 7, 1940, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Vento was a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party.
Vento's political career began in 1967 when he was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives, where he served until his election to the U.S. Congress.
