Apatosaurus ajax, commonly known as Apatosaurus, is an extinct species of sauropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period, approximately 150 million years ago. It belongs to the family Diplodocidae and is characterized by its enormous size and long neck.
The Apatosaurus ajax is among the largest known land animals, reaching lengths of up to 75 feet and weighing around 20-25 tons. It had a robust body, with a long, whip-like tail and powerful, column-like legs. It also possessed a small, elongated head relative to its body size, which housed a set of peg-like teeth for grinding plant matter.
