They are usually soft to the touch and mobile, easily moved beneath the skin upon palpation.
Adiposis tuberosa simflex is considered an autosomal dominant disorder, meaning it is caused by an abnormal gene passed down from one affected parent. However, some cases may arise spontaneously due to sporadic genetic mutations. The syndrome is relatively rare, with only a few documented cases in medical literature.
While adiposis tuberosa simflex is generally a benign condition and does not cause significant health complications, it can result in cosmetic concerns due to the appearance of multiple visible fatty nodules.
